UPDATE

The Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo returns in the second iteration with a lighter and sleeker shoe that is perfect for daily runs. The new textile upper is lighter and more breathable than the first Zoom Pegasus Turbo. This version does away with Flywire cables, which are replaced by new lacing reinforcement technology.
The midsole is made up of the familiar ZoomX foam. It produces an elastic, but at the same time durable, medium insole. The sole also uses the same elements as the previous version of Zoom Pegasus Turbo.

Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 SIZE AND FIT

Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 is a neutral running shoe built to the standard of running shoes. The width of the heel of the shoe, the room for the middle part of the foot and toe allow you to place your legs to medium volume. On the other hand, the height of the sock remains minimal to ensure a snug fit. The Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 is available in medium widths in male and female sizes.

SOLE

The Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 blown rubber outsole provides traction with multiple surfaces for a smooth and stable ride. This material is lightweight and comfortable for the runner. Blown rubber is less hard than carbon rubber, which provides a softer platform in transition.

The front and back of the sole have a signature waffle pattern that is unique to the brand. This part contributes to effective shock absorption and multidirectional grip by using as little rubber as possible. The waffle pattern is formed by pentagon-shaped tips that provide the shoe with a durable but flexible foot unit that effectively softens the forces on impact. Another Nike shoe that uses this sole is the Zoom Vaporfly 4%, which is very popular for racing.

On the side of the sole there is a rubber shock rail, which contributes to smooth transitions and flexible movements. This advantage is further enhanced by the angle of the heel.

Midsole

The Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 uses a combination of two foam midsole compounds to provide double cushioning and responsiveness that help you run long distances - these are ZoomX and React foams. Two foams are located one above the other, ZoomX on top and slightly concentrated in the forefoot area, with the aim of soft convergence.

ZoomX is built as the lightest and most responsive foam that provides greater energy efficiency. ZoomX is derived from material used in aerospace innovation. The result is a soft midsole foam with no extra mass. ZoomX foam is located right under your feet to allow you to move forward when the runner moves forward.

React Foam is Nike's most durable cushioning material. React works with the runner, reacting to every step, returning to its original form and making sure that the ride matches the steady step. React foam is closer to the base of the Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 because it provides a high level of cushioning.

UPPER

The top of the Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 mesh has a loft design that gives it an inclined, translucent appearance. The material has the combined characteristics of breathability, durability and lightness.

Instead of Flywire cables, laces run through a synthetic strip of molten material that acts like an eyecup. The synthetic strip provides a second set of holes or loops that allow you to adjust when lacing your shoes.

Under the net is an inner sleeve that runs through the toe to the midfoot and provides the necessary support to help you travel longer miles.

Instead of a hard toe cap, the front of the Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 has a thick woven material that creates a soft but protective coating for the fingers.

The collar, meanwhile, remains similar to its predecessor, as it has a low profile and a minimalistic, thin design that tapers at the end. This ensures maximum comfort in the ankle and Achilles, as it prevents chafing. A thin collar is complemented by an equally thin heel cup, which allows the foot to remain in the center, resting on the midsole foam.

The tongue also has a subtle finish with minimal addition. This makes shoes easier and provides comfort. It also displays a slightly asymmetric design that is designed for aesthetic purposes.
